Humber Woodland was the first green burial ground in Herefordshire and takes both full burial and ashes interment.

The rules here are stricter than at most sites. No monuments, kerbs, fences or ornaments are allowed at all, so the woodland stays woodland rather than gradually filling with stone and plastic. Native trees are planted instead.

The gates are open from nine every morning and you can visit whenever you like. There is no office on site, so ring ahead if you want to meet someone.
