- Business name, contact details, and website URL (displayed in your directory listing)
- Billing information (processed securely via Stripe — we do not store card details)

- Technical data collected automatically via cookies, including IP address, browser type, and pages visited (see Section 6)
- c) Enquiries via our contact form:
- Name and email address, and any information you choose to include in your message
3. How We Use Your Data
We use the data we collect to:
- Create and manage your directory listing account
- Display your business information in the Celebrated Lives directory
- Process payments for featured listings via Stripe
- Respond to enquiries submitted via our contact form
- Understand how our website is used and improve its content (via Google Analytics, with your consent)
Our legal basis for processing this data is:
- Contract performance — where data is needed to provide a listing service you have requested
- Legitimate interests — for website analytics, improving our service, and responding to business enquiries submitted via our contact form
- Legal obligation — where we are required to retain data to comply with legal, accounting, or tax obligations (for example, records relating to paid listings are retained for 6 years in line with HMRC requirements)
- Consent — where you have consented to the placement of analytics cookies
4. Who We Share Your Data With
We do not sell your personal data to third parties. We share data only where necessary to operate our services:

- Hostinger — our website hosting provider, for server infrastructure only.

- Financial and billing records relating to paid listings are retained for 6 years in line with HMRC requirements.
- Enquiry data submitted via our contact form is retained for up to 12 months.
- Analytics data is retained in line with Google Analytics’ default retention settings.
8. Your Rights
Under UK GDPR, you have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate data
- Request deletion of your data
- Object to or restrict how we process your data
- Request a portable copy of your data
- Where we rely on your consent to process data, you have the right to withdraw that consent at any time. Withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before the withdrawal.
