These terms apply to both general website visitors and businesses purchasing directory listings.

PART A — FOR DIRECTORY VISITORS
3. About This Directory
Celebrated Lives is a directory service only. We do not provide memorial services directly, and we are not responsible for the services offered by companies listed in our directory.
All enquiries are made directly between you and the listed company. We are not a party to any arrangement, transaction, or agreement that may result from your use of this directory.
4. Accuracy of Listings
We make every reasonable effort to ensure listings are accurate and up to date. However, we cannot guarantee the accuracy of all information provided by listed companies. Always verify details directly with the company before making any decision, particularly given the sensitive nature of bereavement services.
5. Independence and No Commission
Celebrated Lives is an independent directory. We do not take commission from enquiries or transactions between visitors and listed companies. The only commercial arrangement is the listing fee paid by businesses to appear in the directory.
Inclusion in the directory does not constitute an endorsement of any listed company beyond our initial review of listing content.

PART B — FOR LISTED BUSINESSES
6. Directory Listings
We offer two types of listing:
- Standard listings — free or low-cost basic entries in the directory
- Featured listings — paid listings with enhanced visibility and placement
We reserve the right to accept, decline, or remove any listing at our discretion, without liability, including where content is inaccurate, misleading, or inappropriate.
We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the service at any time without liability, provided that where users have active paid subscriptions we will act reasonably and provide appropriate notice.
7. Featured Listing Payments
Featured listings are provided on a subscription basis and renew automatically each month until cancelled.
- Payments are recurring and will be charged at the start of each billing cycle via Stripe.
- You may cancel your featured listing at any time by contacting us at hello@celebratedlives.co.uk, or through any cancellation mechanism we may provide within your account.
- Cancellation will take effect at the end of the current billing cycle. Your listing will remain active and visible until that date.
- All payments are non-refundable except where required by law.
- We reserve the right to change listing prices with at least 30 days’ notice by email or via the website.
8. Listing Content
You are responsible for the accuracy of all information submitted for your listing, including business name, contact details, service descriptions, and website URL.
By submitting a listing, you confirm that:
- You are authorised to represent the business listed
- All information provided is accurate and not misleading
- Your business operates in compliance with all relevant UK laws and regulations
- You own or have the right to use any images or content submitted
We reserve the right to edit or remove listing content that we consider inaccurate, inappropriate, or in breach of these terms.
9. Content Licence
Content you submit for your listing remains your property. By submitting it, you grant us a non-exclusive licence to display, edit, format, and adapt it for the duration of your listing and for the purpose of operating, displaying, and promoting the website.
All other content on this website — including text, design, logos, and structure — is owned by or licensed to Celebrated Lives. You may not reproduce, copy, or redistribute any such content without our written permission.

10. Limitation of Liability
Nothing in these Terms shall limit or exclude our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded under UK law.
Subject to the above, and to the maximum extent permitted by law:

- We accept no liability for the accuracy or quality of services provided by listed businesses.
- We accept no liability for any loss or damage arising from your use of this website.
