Southfield Lane is a natural burial ground at Rufforth just outside York, run by Rufforth with Knapton Parish Council.

Both full burial and ashes interment are available. The ground is managed on ecologically sound lines and kept deliberately informal, so it reads as a quiet piece of countryside rather than a cemetery.

Being parish council run, it is likely to be considerably cheaper than commercial alternatives, and the money stays in the village.
