Brightwater is a wildflower meadow and woodland beside a spring-fed stream near Owmby, about ten miles north of Lincoln. It has been running since 2009.

It is family run by Brightwater Landscapes, the same family who have farmed this land for over 130 years, which is worth knowing when you are choosing somewhere permanent.

Both full burial and ashes interment are available, and they publish their prices in full. There are two ashes options: a meadow ashes plot at £520 holding up to two sets of remains, or a woodland ashes plot at £295. Digging and reinstatement for an ashes plot is £120 on top, so the total comes to £640 or £415. A single grave plot is £825 with £675 for digging.

A broad leaf tree with a stake guard and three years of maintenance is £160, and an engraved remembrance plaque £220.

There is also a Hay Barn on site available for a ceremony or a wake, seating up to fifty, at £235. That means the whole day can happen in one place rather than moving between venues.

Reserved plots are available, though reserving next to an existing grave is currently limited to the spouse or partner of someone already buried there.
