Burials at Sea is a fully managed, MMO-licensed sea burial service operating from Southampton’s Town Quay Marina. Their specialism is whole body burial at sea, carried out mainly off the Needles on the Isle of Wight, with the team handling all documentation, licensing and logistics on the family’s behalf.

Alongside this they offer year-round ashes scattering ceremonies for up to 12 passengers, departing from Southampton with other locations available on request. Prices for ash scattering start from £1,050 including a biodegradable urn. Larger groups can be accommodated by hiring additional vessels.

The service is family-friendly and caters for a range of religious traditions. Starlink live streaming of ceremonies direct to Facebook is also available, so family who can’t attend in person can still watch.
