Tithe Green Markfield is a natural burial ground in the Leicestershire countryside, close to the National Forest and easily reached from Leicester and the wider East Midlands. Families can arrange a natural interment of ashes from £875, with ashes buried in a biodegradable container in woodland alongside a newly planted memorial tree and an inscribed Welsh slate plaque, or in wildflower meadow with a plaque. A memorial tree alone, without burial, starts at £750. Services can be attended or unattended, and there is no catchment policy so anyone can use the site. The grounds are managed for biodiversity and kept free of plastic, concrete and chemicals, and are open to visitors all day, every day.
