Bargoed is an independent burial ground in a secluded stretch of north west Carmarthenshire, made up of wildflower meadow, woodland and areas deliberately left wild.

It was named overall UK winner in 2023, which for a small independent site says something. Keith Hall runs it personally, so families deal with one person throughout rather than an office.

On-site facilities are deliberately basic to keep the impact on the land low. The ground doubles as a wildlife haven and visitors are welcome to walk it.
