Dale Hill is a natural burial ground in the Locko Park area of Derbyshire, developing gradually so that it settles into the surrounding landscape rather than arriving all at once.

Only indigenous trees and plants are allowed on the site, which keeps it ecologically honest and means it will look like the countryside around it in twenty years rather than like a garden. Memorial tree planting is available, and plots can be bought in advance.
