Nar Valley is a meadow at Pentney in Norfolk, between Swaffham and King’s Lynn, next to St Mary Magdalen church.

The site is managed as meadow so the wildflowers can establish properly. No permanent memorials are allowed at all, only a temporary wooden marker for the first twelve months, after which the meadow takes over. That will suit some families and not others, so it is worth being upfront about.

Burials are in biodegradable coffins and the site is non-denominational.
