Bob and Jane Ludlow spent 16 years running bespoke boat trips on the River Medway. They now do nothing but scatterings, having stopped their pleasure trips to specialise, and trade as South East Scattering Ashes.

They operate Song and Dance, a flybridge motor yacht licensed for up to ten passengers, from Chatham Maritime Marina. The standard trip lasts an hour and costs £400. If your group is larger than ten, they can bring the boat close to a viewing area on the shore so everyone else can watch from land.

Bob and Jane have carried out hundreds of scatterings and are experienced with the customs of different faiths. Jane will talk you through the practical side beforehand, including which water urn to use, though they do not supply urns themselves.
