The Willows sits in the Charnwood countryside on the edge of Leicester, laid out in an unusual wheel design with wildflower meadow and woodland alternating around a willow tree at the centre.

Chris and Jenny Scroby have run it as a family business since 2011, and it has been voted People’s Choice best natural burial ground in the East of England five times. The site is still growing, with new land and ponds being added for wildlife.

They welcome all faiths and none, and put no time limit on services, so families are not being moved along to make way for the next one. They follow the Association of Natural Burial Grounds code of conduct.
