Professional display or self-fire?
A professional display is planned, set up and fired by a trained crew, with insurance, and usually includes a choreographed sequence. Some companies let you press the button to start it. Self-fire packages are cheaper and give you more freedom over time and place, but you’re responsible for setting them off safely.
Rules to be aware of
You’ll need the landowner’s permission wherever you set fireworks off. In England and Wales, fireworks can’t be used between 11pm and 7am, except on Bonfire Night (until midnight) and New Year’s Eve, Diwali and Chinese New Year (until 1am).
